The Wake-Up Call

As Brand Director for Austrade, I worked closely with Apparent over a period of three years on initiatives for both Austrade and Australia's Nation Brand. Australia's Nation Brand was a federal government initiative designed to help Australian businesses and government organisations show the world that we're more than an island of friendly faces and pretty places. During my time at Austrade we worked with Apparent on several major projects in the digital space leveraging their expertise in user experience, user interface and all aspects of website design. This included the complete design of the brand new Australia's Nation Brand website, the Australia's Nation Brand Toolkit (a digital asset management platform), the redesign of the Austrade website, the redesign of the Australian Export Awards website and the creation of design templates for website campaign pages and lead generation pages. A critical component of these digital projects that Apparent completed, was defining the strategy for the sites, including the content pillars and SEO strategies. Apparent also created the first social media strategy for Australia's Nation Brand, and developed all social media content as well as a social sharing kit for the brand launch. Throughout all of these projects, we viewed the Apparent team as an extension of our own team. They were hard working and passionate and they were as committed to the success of our projects as we were! They constantly went the extra mile, and the quality of their delivery was outstanding. Australia's Nation Brand went on to win or be commended for five national and global design awards and Apparent was a huge part of that win.
